Our Philosophy
We believe that in anything you do you should seek to make a difference and make the world a better place.
Now many may consider this statement itself laughable and not 'modern' these days. Well, we trust in 'old fashioned' values of decency and common humanity.
Conversely, we are against 'modern' psychobabble nonsense, materialism and the submersion of spirituality in a sea of noise. That is not to say we are not for living well, nice cars and all that.
But these do not have to be at the expense of humanity, do they?
Idealistic? Perhaps. But literature itself takes a leading role in forwarding positive values, or undermining them. The Arts in general and Music specifically are carriers for ideals, for imbuing a sense of hope and understanding.
It is for these reasons that Bank House publishes in the field of music, culture, and history. Our society is sleepwalking into a Brave New World of psycho-nonsense and soporifics, and we all have a responsibility for doing something about it.
What do we mean by all this?
You can keep the sex and drugs; we just want the rock and roll!
